RUGBY

On Saturday I went down to the Allenton Rugby Grounds to watch some of the Hampstead boys in action.  Their were some great tries, tackling and team work.  Here are some of the photos.

Another Technology challenge....

Katelyn, Heidi and Kreed

This one even smells....by McKenzie, Brooke, Manaia and Penina.

This time we had to make a flower out of newspaper as tall as we could, while still making an interesting design.  Here are some of us at work.

BOATS

Jayden blowing up his balloon

The proud winners

Take a look at our boats, all were great at floating and some powered right across the paddling pool by balloon power!  Jayden's and Foni's even hit the side!

Our Cars

Technology

We have been making cars and trying to get them going.

Awesome work Isaac!

Great design

Push power and balloon power!

Some went quite a way by pushing, and we even managed to get a few going with a balloon.

NETBALL

Hampstead C Netball Game:

On a frozen Saturday morning I had to play netball, the ball was wet
and slimy.  At the 2nd quarter my brother was standing in the way
of the goal for Longbeach C.  Longbeach I think beat us by 4 more at the end.  We did 3 hiparrays and the team lined up behind me and said, "good game".  Then we did player of the game, both Drew and Fiona got Player of the Day.  Miss Wise was our umpire for the day so she got, 'supporter of the day'.  We shared out the lollies and went home.

Unfortuntely the girls were running so fast in the game I have lots of blurry photos! But here are a couple.
If you play rugby or another sport prehaps you could bring a couple of photos and a neat story about your game to add to our blog.

Student of the Week - Acacia

On Friday Acacia was presented with the Student of the Week Certificate at assembly.

Acacia got this award because she is a great listener, she gets on with her work and is helpful and kind to other Room 9 students.  Well done ACACIA!

COLLAGE

This term we have been working up ripping up small pieces of paper from magazines to make a collage.  Here is Ryan working on his ladybird.

Foni's ladybird is on the left, with Caleb's on the right.

They worked on the flower together.

Foni and Caleb were very good at ripping up small bits of paper and glueing them down.  Fantastic team work on the flower!
